This document explains the steps necessary to upgrade Sublime from a previous version to Version 1.1. Please follow the instructions for the version of Sublime you are currently running.
Due to re-build of the Sublime installer it is necessary to uninstall Sublime 1.0 before installing version 1.1. Uninstalling Sublime 1.0 will not remove your existing repositories, user accounts, or configuration data. However, if you wish to manually back up this information before uninstalling Sublime 1.0, simply back up the contents of the bin folder within your Sublime installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Sublime\bin).
Once you have uninstalled Sublime 1.0, download and run the Sublime 1.1 installer. When prompted to select a path for Sublime it is recommended that you select the same path Sublime was installed previously. The installer will NOT over-write your configuration data during this process.
When Sublime 1.1 has been installed, log in and follow the final configuration steps.
To upgrade Sublime from Version 0.7 to 1.0, please follow these steps. If you do not follow these steps you are at risk of loosing configuration data.
The first step is to back up some existing configuration files.
Next you must completely uninstall the version of Sublime you currently have installed. You may do this from “Add / Remove Programs” on Windows Server 2003, or “Programs and Features” on Windows Server 2008.
Once Sublime 0.7 has been uninstalled, download and install Sublime version 1.0. For best results, during the installer enter the same settings for installation location, service account, and website configuration that you used for the previous version of Sublime.
Once the installer is finished, log in with an existing administrator username and password. NOTE: If you had created your own administrator account or changed the default administrator password, the default admin login displayed on the final screen of the installer will not be correct. Walk through the new server configuration screens to finish the install process. When are finished with the configuration and are viewing the “Final Checklist” screen, move on to the next step.
Copy the “grp”, “rss”, and “lic” files you backed up in the first section back into the bin folder of your Sublime installation. Copy these files over the existing files already there.
Finally, reset IIS by opening a command prompt and running the following command:
C:\> iisrest
Sublime should now be upgraded to version 1.0. You may need to re-configure a few settings so review the administrative screens to check security settings, SMTP settings, etc.
To upgrade Sublime from Version 0.6 to 1.0, first you must completely uninstall the version of Sublime you currently have installed. You may do this from “Add / Remove Programs” on Windows Server 2003, or “Programs and Features” on Windows Server 2008.
Once Sublime 0.6 has been uninstalled, download and install Sublime version 1.0. For best results, during the installer enter the same settings for location, service account, and website configuration that you used for the previous version of Sublime.
Once the installer is finished, log in with an existing administrator username and password. NOTE: If you had created your own administrator account or changed the default administrator password, the default admin login displayed on the final screen of the installer will not be correct. Walk through the new server configuration screens to finish the install process. When are finished with the configuration and are viewing the “Final Checklist” screen, the server has been successfully upgraded.
